M&T TYRE KM WARRANTY
After selling tyres in New Zealand for 30 years we are confident in the tyres we sell.
So confident, we offer you a kilometre warranty of up to 80,000km
depending on the tyre size and pattern that you purchase.
Look out for this rosette when browsing for tyres on our website!
This means that the tyre is part of our Tyre Kilometre Warranty.
WHAT IS THE TYRE KM WARRANTY PROGRAMME?
In this programme we guarantee that the tyres included will go the distance and last up to 80,000km. In the unlikely chance they don’t, we will cover the difference on the kilometre shortfall when you purchase your next new tyres.
The KM Warranty is a pro-rata warranty. The amount covered will be determined by multiplying your original purchase price by the percentage of the kilometre shortfall. The kilometre shortfall is the difference between the kilometres guaranteed and the kilometres achieved. You are responsible for all costs associated with making a claim under this warranty including the cost of fitting, balancing and any additional charges or your acceptance of a higher priced replacement tyre.
IS THE ‘KM WARRANTY’ COVERED NATIONWIDE?
The Mag & Turbo ® KM Warranty is available from every store nationwide and we’ll do our part to help you get the best out of your tyres covered under the warranty regardless of where you travel to in the country.
● Your local Mag & Turbo ® store have the right to vary or decline the Tyre KM Warranty at their discretion based on the road conditions and geographical influences encountered in their local area or the intended use of the tyres. Rural driving may result in achieving less kilometres before tyres are deemed end of life.
● The mileage warranty does not cover tyres bought for certain vehicles. EV Vehicles, Hire Vehicles and Taxi Vans are excluded.
● Lowered vehicles that are not able to re-retain the factory alignment settings due to lowering will be excluded.
INSTALLATION
Congratulations on purchasing your new tyres that are part of the
Mag & Turbo Tyre Kilometre Warranty Programme!
At the time of purchase or installation of your new tyres a 4-wheel alignment
must be completed to initiate the warranty. This is at the cost of the purchaser.
this is to enhance tyre life and maximise road holding.
REGULAR SERVICE INTERVALS
WORKING WITH YOU TO GET THE MAXIMUM
KM OUT OF YOUR NEW TYRES!
Just like maintenance and servicing is vital to keeping your vehicle running right,
regular tyre services are crucial to the performance and wear of your tyres.
For this reason, you must return your vehicle to a Mag & Turbo® store every 10,000km or at the suggested KM interval, for a Tyre Service. At these intervals a trained Mag & Turbo® technician will check your tyres to see if a Tyre Service is required.
If required, the Tyre Service could include;
1. Wheel & Tyre Rotation
2. Re-balancing Wheels & Tyres
3. Tyre Air Pressure reset*
4. Wheel Alignment*
*It is mandatory that these are completed to fulfil the obligations of the Mag & Turbo ® Tyre KM Warranty.
While wheel alignments are a chargeable service, under the Ts & Cs of the Tyre Warranty, wheel & tyre rotations, rebalancing and tyre air pressure reset are FREE as part of the Mag & Turbo Tyre Service Promise.
FACT: Optimum tyre pressures and wheel alignments will reduce fuel consumption!
MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY
ALL TYRES SOLD ALSO COME WITH A MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY
Your tyres are also guaranteed against manufacturing faults for a period of time after the date of manufacture (this period may vary depending on the manufacturer) or for the tread life of the tyre, whichever is earlier.
The tyre manufacturer will remedy defects in materials and workmanship by paying the cost of replacing the tyre on a pro-rata basis (calculated by multiplying your original purchase price by the percentage of original tread depth remaining on the tyre). You are responsible for all costs associated with making a claim under this warranty including the cost of mounting, balancing and any additional charges or your acceptance of a higher priced replacement tyre.
TREAD LIFE
When the tread becomes worn down to 1.6mm (shown by tread wear indicators moulded into the tread grooves) the tyre is worn out and this warranty ends.
REPLACEMENT CHARGE
The tyre manufacturer warranty is a pro-rata warranty. The replacement charge will be determined by multiplying the consumer’s original purchase price by the percentage of original tread depth worn from the tyre. The consumer must pay for mounting, balancing and any other additional charges, or the acceptance by the consumer of a higher-priced replacement tyre.
